Algebra II
Algebra II is a standard 9th or 10th grade class or an Honors 9th grade class, which is an expansion on the Algebra I curriculum and it starts to prepare students for Geometry, College Algebra, Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus and the SAT test as well. Completion of the course is a requirement for graduation in Baltimore County Public Schools. There are 12 County Assessments, one at the end of each chapter as well as a County Final Exam.

The founder of Algebra and the first person who presented systematic solutions for Linear and Quadratic Equations. Al-Khwārizmī's contributions to mathematics, geography, astronomy, and cartography established the basis for innovation in algebra and trigonometry. His systematic approach to solving linear and quadratic equations led to algebra, a word derived from the title of his 830 book on the subject, "The Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing"
