Statistics
AP Statistics is a very rigorous course that falls under the category of math in High School, but is not considered a math course by many Universities. The course requires a lot of reading and writing and a good understanding of how to use a graphing calculator. All students are expected to have their own graphing calculator for this class due to the fact that most of the homework assignments will require the use of one. At the end of the course the students will have the option of taking the AP Exam which if they pass (3 out of 5 or better) they can receive college credit from many Universities.
